I created The Takeover as a brief experiment of combining horror with comedic elements, inspired by an experience I had with a squirrel that lived in my attic. When I had it removed, It got me thinking about the idea of animals having feelings and whether or not those feelings made them capable of exacting revenge. I am working on expanding the idea into a feature project. The Takeover also pays homage to one of my favorite directors, Alfred Hitchcock and one of favorite films, Gremlins.
